I started dreaming up our first baby's nursery long before we were even ready to start having kids, and one of the things I knew I was totally on board to try was wallpaper! Since we've decided not to find out the gender of our baby until birth, it's made the nursery design a fun challenge of soft textures and neutral tones, and like every other idea I've gotten during pregnancy, the thought of trying out a stripe pattern came to me sometime around 3:30am during a lovely stretch of insomnia.
I sampled SO many patterns before sealing the deal and I'm really glad I did. Almost every pattern looked slightly different in person and the one we ended up with had a completely different (and so much nicer) hue than what showed on screen. If I could only recommend one piece of advice, it would be sample, sample, SAMPLE your little heart out before buying. Sometimes, that cheap looking one online might just steal your heart in real life - like in our case!
Today, I've rounded up a few of the patterns I sampled for our nursery project, and a few that I've kept in mind for future areas of our home. I absolutely love how far the simple stripe has come and that there are so many variations on the market at so many price points! I mostly browsed for neutral tones, but so many of these patterns have a wide range of incredible color choices to consider, so make sure to check them all out!
